Bentuk, desain, dan warna dari notebook ini mengikuti desain baru yang juga telah dilihat di Acer Aspire 4741 - 4745 yang baru. Bila dibanding dengan model Acer Aspire 5942G yang dipasarkan oleh Acer Indonesia sebelumnya, maka notebook ini kelasnya lebih rendah dari segi spesifikasi graphics dan berkurangnya konektifitas infrared dan ExpressCard/54. Dilain pihak model baru ini lebih ramping dan lebih ringan. Fitur tata suara Dolby Home Theatre melengkapi nilai jual dari notebook ini.
