Having recently cancelled the unveiling of Portal 2 at the upcoming E3 Expo in LA, Valve announced that they would be unveiling a "surprise" game.
Rumours have been circulating rapidly over the past week concerning which game the digital distributor Valve would be announcing next. Will it be the long awaited Half Life 3, the zombie slaying Left 4 Dead 3, or the highly anticipated competitive title of Counter-Strike 2?
Well it seems the latter is the next in queue to come off of the production line for the Washington based company, or so it was leaked to GameZone.com, who posted that "a source has pointed [us] to a supposed screen capture from Valve’s website, revealing that the big surprise in question is none other than Counter-Strike 2".
The screenshot (in all it's 400x225 resolution) is clearly titled "Counter-Strike 2", and below the snapshot of in game graphics offers the teaser of "Coming June 2011". A year from now, could we all be playing a brand new competitive FPS? I guess we'll all just have to wait and see; Let's just hope a tactical nuke perk isn't rewarded after 25 kills!
